The Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhood is a trendy, “smart” neighborhood with a small-town flare anchored by the University of Chicago, large mansions and a host of elite condominium buildings along the lakefront. Home to the nation’s 44th President, Barack Obama, and a diverse array of folks that includes University Professors, young professionals, students, and long-time Hyde Parkers, the Hyde Park/Kenwood area is known as a fun place to live with bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants and a hometown feel where everybody knows everybody.
