Bio
William “Bill” Godwin has lived in Bronzeville, Hyde Park and South Shore. He's passionate about real estate and improving homeownership, responsible development and the quality of life on the South Side of Chicago. William is excited about the opportunity to create a useful resource for the Chicago housing market through his founding and leadership of the South Side Housing Digest.
A member of the Chicago; Illinois; and, National Association of Realtors, William is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois. He is a realtor at MetroPro Realty headquartered in the Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhood. William is also licensed to sell property and casualty insurance in Illinois. He is a consultant with Robinson and Associates, an agency of The Allstate Corporation based in the Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhood.
William Godwin is a nationally recognized public speaker. He’s also a preacher, real estate consultant, community economic development advocate, and member of the Illinois Bar. A native of Jackson, Tennessee, he now lives in Chicago, Illinois. A Harry S Truman Scholar (TN ’06), Godwin has worked in the United States Congress for both Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr (D-IL) and Senator Bill Frist (R-TN). He completed his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Sociology at Georgetown University, the General Course in the Social Sciences at The London School of Economics, and earned his Juris Doctor at The University of Chicago Law School.

The South Side Housing Digest's mission includes providing followers with the most up to date information on community events happening on Chicago's South Side. This weekend is filled with activity!
