Bio

Damien W.D. Davis, a native of the south side of Chicago, has been involved with the political, religious and community activism tradition of the City for many years. A recent graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary, Damien earned a Masters of Divinity Degree, where he concentrated on the development of humanity and how one can unite with the challenges and triumphs of urban communities. Damien is also a graduate of Wilberforce University in Ohio, where he received the Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. Currently he is a Case Specialist for BI, Inc., working in the re-entry program for ex-offenders and providing resources to get them re-acclimated into society. He is a father, friend, motivator, and a counselor. His expertise in the advising realm has equipped him to be an effective communicator and he continues to participate in the development of his community. Damien has lived in the Hyde Park and Washington Heights neighborhoods.

  • I’m Damien Davis, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ (400 W. 95TH St.) in the Washington Heights neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side where I have lived for over twenty-five years. While blighted by unfair media attacks, it’s important to set the record straight that Trinity is an amazing church grounded in a strong, community-centered, people-focused mission that unites community and faith.
