Bio
Creative, innovative, and superb are all words that describe Alonzo Brown's work as a public relations practitioner, events, and communications professional. From the very start of his career, Alonzo's philosophy has been that, 'image is everything'. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Organization and Leadership Development from National-Louis University (2010); he received his BS in Mass Communications from Jackson State University where he had already begun his pursuit in building a strong character and creating a reputation of excellence and integrity. With over 12 years of experience and armed with a strong, extensive and diverse event planning and integrated communications background, Alonzo has worked on key national, regional and local accounts during his career such as Kraft, Milk Mustache, Tombstone Pizza, Illinois Bureau of Tourism, Citibank, African American Family Reunion Tour, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Cedar Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, ABC Television Network, Proviso-Leyden Council for Community Action, Oldsmobile, Ralston-Purina, ShoreBank (formerly South Shore Bank), American Family Insurance, Kellogg’s, Abbott Laboratories, Verizon Communications and U.S. Cellular where he was instrumental in creating a much-needed synergy between the communications and marketing departments by having the two units leverage efforts to drive and meet business and financial goals. Alonzo is a life-long resident of the South Side, and South Suburbs of Chicago.
