For all of you South Side Garrett’s Popcorn lovers, now you don’t even have to leave the neighborhood. TODAY! Garrett’s Popcorn is having its Grand Opening in Chatham at the intersection of 87th Street and Cottage Grove!
All patrons who stop by between 11am-1pm will get a free bag of the Chicago Mix (a blend of Cheese and Caramel). From 4-7pm, customers can experiment with the new Garrett CaramelCrisp Apple Cider. And in good community holiday spirit, all of the proceeds from the Cider will go to the Boys and Girls Club.

Chicago’s South Side now boasts a state of the art velodrome facility at 8615 S. Burley Drive near the astonishing Lakeside Development on the Old U.S. Steel Site. When I stumbled upon this treasure driving down Route 41 I definitely had to find out more. The current facility and the planned permanent facility offer so much promise.
